I hate designers who don’t stick to the season when showing at fashion weeks. Have you ever heard of any designer showing spring-summer line in a fashion week for Autumn-Winter in London, Paris, NY, Milan or for that fact, even in Ukraine Fashion Week? In India Fashion Week, ‘sab chalta hai’! I strongly feel that FDCI should not allow such frivolity.
Now at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Mumbai designer Nikasha Tawadey is showing the same collection that she showed at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2010 and so is Nandita Mahtani. If these designers don’t have the time and interest to show the relevant collection, they shouldn’t be allowed. It’s that simple and straight.
