Accused of Insider Trading, Rajat Gupta Helped RIL

On the 2nd May 2011 Fashionscandal posted this news of RIL’s ambitious dream of exploring oil in Alaska. It was former McKinsey and Goldman & Sachs honcho Rajat Gupta who recently got indicted for charges of Insider Trading put Reliance Industries Limited in touch with American Fund House,Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) that also indulge in Lobbying.

Here is the Original 2nd May posting:

One of India’s most powerful business tycoon is very clear about the fact that whoever controls Energy Resources control the Global Power. Hence his focus is very much in Oil Exploration and Drilling Business. He recently inked a mega billion deal with another Oil Giant and is ambitious about Oil in Alaska.

Environmentalists are against Oil Exploration in Alaska. A court decision has blocked any drilling in the Alaskan Waters (Chukchi Sea) for the foreseeable future, regardless of any of the Interior Department decisions.  Judge Ralph Beistline, a United States District Court Judge, ruled that no activities regarding exploration could be allowed until the deficiencies are remedied. Eventually, a proper environmental review will be conducted and drilling exploration will be able to commence.

Now the Desi Tycoon has hired the services of an American Fund House, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) that also indulge in Lobbying to turn-around the existing hold on Deep-water Drilling in Alaska by buying out Congress men. At least this corruption is off shore!
