Tamara Mellon Quits JIMMY CHOO

Tamara Mellon, the co-founder of Jimmy Choo and its CEO, Joshua Shulman are quitting Jimmy Choo by the end of this year after 15 long years they invested in founding and establishing the brand – Jimmy Choo. Their exit surely gonna affect the brand. Jimmy Choo was acquired by Labelux, an Austrian group that also owns Bally from  TowerBrook Capital, a private equity firm for 500 Million Pounds this year.

Mellon was practically the pillar of the Jimmy Choo brand since its birth 15 years ago. Together with Schulman, Mellon has brought the company to staggering heights, not only diversifying into men’s shoes but also into sunglasses, fragrances and ready to wear. Bally, the brand owned by Labelux has lost its spark. It doesn’t have the appeal it used to have say a decade back. The two-year old Labelux Group now has a mammoth challenge to keep Jimmy Choo at the level it is at. But without Tamara Mellon and Joshua Schulman, I am rather sceptical about the future of Jimmy Choo.

  1. I’m really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility issues? A few of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this issue?
